The New York Center for Living is a not-for-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status from the United States government. Driven by the mission and vision of bringing high quality treatment to New York City, Elizabeth Kabler established an endowment for the foundation of the New York Center for Living. Through this recurring gift, we are able to offer boutique quality treatment at a significantly reduced cost to those who might otherwise not be able to access this level of care.
We believe that everyone who needs treatment should be able to benefit from thoughtful quality care. Together with The New York Center for Living’s fundraising campaigns, our goal is to provide healthcare that is not simply driven by insurance-based cookie-cutter models of treatment. In order to stay on the cutting edge of treatment, we rely upon the generosity of our endowment to offer options that might not otherwise be authorized by commercial insurance companies or are limited by the ability of an individual to cover the out- of-pocket cost. Through Mrs. Kabler’s funding, along with the generous donations of others, we strive to bring affordable treatment for as long as a client can benefit, not simply because their insurance has “run out.” In this way, we aim to help save lives by offering treatment to those who could not afford it otherwise.
As we enter a new era for recovery treatment here at the New York Center for Living, we see ourselves as thought leaders in the field of adolescent and young adult addictions. We hope to contribute to the broader conversation by taking an active role in professional education and training for pediatricians and other medical professionals, psychiatrists, mental health providers and counselors in the newest evidence-based treatments that are available to enhance treatment performance.
We aim to broaden the scope of our services by providing outreach programs to our local educators and parents as well as to provide substance use education to the greater community.
Help us make a difference – make a donation today.
By making a donation, you can be sure that your money is going to serve more than just individuals. The money fundraised by our foundation touches the lives of many people, directly and indirectly. Through the efforts of this foundation, we have the capability to make a significant impact on the communities that we serve, as well as alter counterproductive attitudes towards substance abuse and mental health disorders.
We want to help contribute to community health and wellness. For example, by helping to fund our Nip it in the Bud vaping cessation program, your contributions directly support efforts to curtail another generation from becoming hooked on nicotine.
By means of our community outreach programs, as well as our substance abuse and mental health education efforts, we have the capability to enact real change. We want to help everyone in the most impactful way we can; through education, prevention, affordable care and destigmatization. No amount is too small. Reach out to us today if you are considering making a donation.
