Our Alumni Program
Since we opened our doors in 2009, we have always maintained our deep commitment to our clients and their families. We are here for you.
We believe in the importance and power of connection, community, and fellowship. Our alumni remain dedicated to supporting each other on their road of recovery. Our NYCFL Alumni program helps those to stay connected with their peers so they can become part of a larger sober community.
While following Covid protocols, NYCFL alumni continue to have in person events such as Central Park barbecues, Brooklyn Bridge Park meetups, and excursion to Coney Island. When current Covid protocols are revised movie nights and open mic nights will continue to also be back on the schedule. Alumni get together at NYCFL offer ongoing support. “College Night” and “Career Nights” are held in roundtable discussions/presentations as many alumni go onto successful careers and share how they climb the ladder of success.
Our Alumni are role models; many opt to welcome the newcomer into their group. To continue experiencing the benefits of a sober lifestyle, our alumni have the opportunity to plan and attend sober social events.
As part of staying connected the alumni are encouraged to speak with current clients for speaker’s bureau, peer groups, multifamily groups, and on-site AA meetings. In order to be invited to a speaking engagement with current clients the alumni must have a minimum of 90 days sobriety.
Parents can also participate in “parent only alumni groups” meeting every six weeks and discuss their ongoing journey and share their stories of hope.
