Who We Help

As an outpatient program certified by New York State’s Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS), people who present for treatment at NYCFL must have a current or recent substance use disorder diagnosis. Additionally, significant others, like parents and caregivers, can also seek treatment at NYCFL, to help them cope and develop strategies for supporting a young person experiencing substance use disorder. We know that substance use disorders do not exist in a vacuum, and often mental health issues, behavioral issues, and relationship issues both precipitate and accompany problematic use of substances. As such, our team is trained and qualified to address co-occurring issues like anxiety, depression, bipolar spectrum disorder, emotional dysregulation, trauma, and personality disorders.
