Dr. Salah, MD will integrate his extensive experience as a pulmonary disease specialist on the impact of vaping with adolescents and young adults. He will integrate the most recent findings on vaping and the lung. This session will be a 30 minute presentation followed by an audience q and a.

Dr. Saleh is an active member of the medical staff at NYPBMH since 1990. He is the Program Director of the hospital’s Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship Program.

He is a former President of the Medical Staff at NYPBMH and was a member of the hospital’s Board of Trustees. Dr. Saleh lectures nationally and internationally on pulmonary topics and has been bestowed the rare honor of “Distinguished Chest Educator” by the American College of Chest Physicians for the past 3 years.

He received his BS at SUNY Oneonta and his MD at St. George’s University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Pulmonary/Critical Care at NYPBMH.

If you are looking to intervene with a problem with vaping, NYCFL has developed a non-punitive group utilizing principles from the American Lung Association, motivational enhancement and cognitive behavioral therapy. Participants can opt to engage in a professionally led, age-appropriate, smoking cessation group.  This program has generously been underwritten through donations to keep cost to a minimum ($50 per session)

Program information has been submitted to the New York State Office of Addiction and Substance Abuse Services Education and Training for earning or re-credentialing for CASAC training hours
