Why Clients Choose Us
While there might be facilities that are closer, clients from the Upper West Side choose our drug rehab center time and time again because of the programs we offer and the unique approach we provide to our outpatient and intensive outpatient programs.
Age-Based Treatment Plans
We offer programs for different age groups, starting with programs for teens that are designed to be functional outpatient programs, taking into consideration the unique needs of teens, particularly with regard to school commitments and other extracurricular activities.
Our teen outpatient programs provide an average of 6 hours per week, specifically of outpatient and peer-based sessions, improv, and family therapy.
Our young adult intensive outpatient programs are a bit more robust, with a few more hours each week, incorporating individual and group therapy with things like CBT or DBT.
No matter the level of care, we specialize in building that sustainable community of sobriety, that community of recovery, with things like our regular community dinners and alumni program.
Peer Support
At the NY Center for Living, many Upper West Side clients come to us because of the unique peer support system we have established. As a non-profit organization, we aim to create a community, one that is sustainable long after clients complete their outpatient programs.
This peer support is centered on things like our peer support programs, where teens and young adults meet with other teens and young adults who have gone through similar struggles and can share the things they’ve learned.
It also extends to ongoing support and things like our community dinners, where people can continue to come back and participate in sober activities that reinforce the coping skills and the lessons learned at our center.
Starting a Treatment Plan
At the NY Center for Living, we can help Upper West Side residents start a treatment plan for drug rehab with a structured intake process.
Our Admissions Process
When you reach out to our admissions department, we will help you discuss what goals you have in mind for yourself or for a loved one and whether this program is suitable.
