MSW Intern
My name is Jillian Max, and I am a second year MSW student at Stony Brook University. I have always found that connecting with and supporting others comes naturally to me. I am a compassionate and empathetic listener, and I really value creating a safe space where people feel comfortable being heard, understood, and accepted without judgment.
Throughout my studies, I have developed a strong interest in the mental health and addictions fields, and I’m especially drawn to work that allows me to build genuine connections with people and support them through different stages of their lives. I’m very excited to begin my internship at the New York Center for Living this fall and to learn from the people around me, challenge myself, and continue growing both as a social work student and as a future clinician.
We help young people, individuals and their families develop a strong foundation of recovery that supports principled decision-making, healthy choices, and adaptive life-stances. Let New York Center for Living be the first step towards your family’s health and well-being.
