MSW Intern
Lila Popell is a second-year master’s student at NYU Silver School of Social Work. She is passionate about supporting adolescents and young adults navigating social, family, and mental health-related challenges. Her prior experience includes interning at Stephen T. Mather Building Arts & Craftsmanship High School, where she counseled high school students in individual and group settings. Lila also served as a Community Mediation Service Corps Fellow at the New York Peace Institute, and has trained as a mediator and conflict coach. During the summer, Lila works on the leadership team of Ghostlight Theater Camp. Lila received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Theater from Wesleyan University. Her high honors thesis examined how theater-making can support community mental health and psychological well-being.
